Dystopia was founded by members of the previous band "Ancient Legacy" in 2012 in Greifswald (Mecklenburg Vorpommern).
The orientation of the new songs were more aggressive, faster and more uncompromising, but at the same time still
melodic and accessible. The sound of the band lies somwhere between swedish Melodic Death Metal and modern Thrash Metal.
The spectrum extend from fragile clean guitars to thunderously Blastbeats and offers variety.
In 2013 Dystopia recorded the first record "Tools of Oblivion" in Osterode/Lerbach under the direction of Torsten Sauerbrey in
the Metalsound Studios. The quintet shared the stage with bands like Misery Index, Decapitated, Evocation, Overtorture and more,
so the band has plenty of experience in performing live in front of audience. In the moment the writing process for the 
second Dystopia record is in progress and will take the musical style and developement one step further.
