Interview with Las Piñas! English: "We still are a baby band," say the members of Las Piñas. Formed earlier this year by Antonela Perigo and Sofía Cardich, on drums and guitar respectively, this surf-rock-writing project(now a trio following the recent incorporation of Celina Ortale , bassist of the band Casiasesiono y los Malos Conocidos , whom they met playing soccer) has released two singles, “El Perro Beach” y “Tiburón”, and is in the process of recording their first album while continuing to expand their creative possibilities. "We try not to pigeonhole , it's good to explore other alternatives ," says Sofia, formerly of Los Chicos de Portugal. "For now we are growing and trying to play as much as we can." QUESTION: How did the band form/come about? Antonela: We met two years ago and started playing almost without realizing it. Really we did not think about making a band, it just emerged. We share a lot of time together and that is fundamental for good things come out. And Celina, the bassist, we met playing football. We 're all friends and we get along really super. Sofía: It came as something spontaneous, and was not premeditated. We are now playing with a bassist because we do not want to pigeonhole ourselves in the duo format as it is good to explore other alternatives. We like to be a girl band because there are not so many in the city and because we refer to groups like La Luz, Las Robertas, Hinds. We really like what they do.
